During this multinational flagship event, 2021 themed “Towards Synergy At Site Characterization”, Dr. Rainier Arndt – a Senior university lecturer and chartered expert witness for Geophysics in Austria – compared in his invited plenary talk/paper the benefits for the geotechnical community resulting from authentic hybrid seismics against standard deliverables from conservative processed, non-synergizing refraction / reflection seismic surveys. GeoExpert was present at the Modern2020 2nd International Conference on Monitoring in Geological Disposal of Radioactive Waste in Paris. Using P- and S-Wave Seismics, GeoExpert derived a way to image the subsurface in terms of its elastic moduli. Especially the Young’s Modulus is of outstanding interest in engineering geology. Following description gives a brief overview of the method.
